READING RESULTS
In the final week before half term -
There were 76% of children were heard read in Mrs Harding's class.
There were 86% of children heard read in Mrs Bethell's class.
There were 82% of children heard read in Miss Robinson's class.
Obviously, there are lots of children who are heard read every day and thank you to every one who writes a comment in their diary.
We are really trying to encourage children to read and enjoy books. It would be great if we had every child in the school being read to and reading with an adult at home. Spread the word and let's see if we can really improve the reading!
On Monday morning Cafod will have someone in the whole school assembly to talk to the children about all the work that they do.
On Friday the 22nd we will be having a non uniform day for the FOSV. They would like the children to bring in Tombola prizes for presents which would be suitable for mums for Mother's day on the 2nd of March!! Things like wine, chocolates, smellies etc.

RE
We will be carrying on with the topic of Thanksgiving. This week the children will be thinking of all the different ways that we can thank someone. We will also be thinking about all the wonderful things in our world that we can be thankful for.
Also during Lent the children fund raise for the Nugent Care. In a few weeks we will have a 3 / 4 fundraising afternoon but in the meantime some children bring in cakes/small toys/biscuits to sell and put money into the class collection box. This really helps our children become more independent and practise money skills as well as thinking of people who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Please remember that if you have problems with primary resources copy the site into your task bar and it will go straight to the right page.
