Monday 25th February
We have been absolutely thrilled and amazed as to how much fundraising has gone on in the last week. The children are really busy raising money for Nugent Care. This week we will be planning for a whole afternoon of fundraising next week. The children will plan together what they want to do. Some may sell toys/cakes and have all sorts of games and activities for the rest of the school to enjoy. In the meantime if you would like to send in any cakes/small toys etc it would be great because they are selling them every playtime and dinnertime too.
Homework will be a little different this week. Your homework instead of sentences this week and next week will be to make a model linked with our History topic and write about it.
Some ideas are a windmill, old barge, the red lion pub, a stage coach or the original ferry tavern. For some ideas please go to:
www.penketh.com
There will be a letter going home on Monday for more details. This has been a request from children and parents to vary the homework every now and then as the children thought the book week homework was great to do.

The preparation for Holy Communion permeates all year groups of the school but this week we will be starting our Holy Communion Booklet with the Year Three.
