Monday 8th December

Welcome to this week's short blog spot.

This week we have a lot going on:


Monday is Christmas dinner for the children. Please remember that there will be no toast sold this day by school.

Tuesday morning 9.30am - Our first performance of the school play.

Cathedral visit by Foundation and Year 6. Please remember that they will not be back in school until 4pm approximately.

Wednesday evening 7pm - play performance. The children need to be back at school for 6.30pm please.



We have decided that we will not be sending out any more homework except for reading because of the plays and the hustle and bustle of family life at this time of year!! Some parents have expressed great relief at this!!!


This week we will be carrying on assessing the children in reading, writing and numeracy.

The children have now been researching about air raid shelters and have designed their own. They are now ready to start collecting junk materials ready to make their designs. They will be given an afternoon this week to make their designs. To find out more see:

Carol Service
Please remember that the Christmas carol concert is going to be taking place up at church again this year. If you haven't sent in consent forms then could you please send them in as soon as possible. Please let us know if you are available to help walk the school up to church thank you!


Christmas party
The children will be giving you a letter about the Christmas party in the last week on the 16th. The children will be sitting in friendship groups to have their food. The groups have decided between themselves to bring a different food each. They will also have a disco and some party games in the hall too.
