Monday 30th March
Welcome to this week's blog spot.
Please don't forget the Easter garden competition which is fast approaching in the last week before we finish. There will be prizes in every class.
Thank you to all the people who have sent in gold for the GO FOR GOLD. The date has now been extended and is now 7th April. The total amount raised will be published as soon as we know. Thank you for all the gold as all the proceeds will go towards improving the playground.
STARS AND STRIPES DAY
We have decided to support Mrs Walker raising money for the arthritis society. We will be dressing up on Friday 3rd April in stars and stripes. For this we ask you donate a £1. Mrs Walker will be running in the Great North run in September too.
The children did really well last week remembering to do their talking homework and we are hoping that it will improve their writing during the big write on a Friday. The homework this week will be:
To find a poem and then learn it off by heart to recite and perform in front of their class.
Normal Numeracy and spellings will be sent home. In Mrs Harding's Numeracy group the children will not need to do a task this week. They will be given a sheet with lots of concepts on to learn off by heart. Some of the topics will be tested before the end of term with the assessments.
TESTING AND ASSESSMENT WEEK
This week we will be doing lots of assessments and tests. We will be assessing the children's reading. writing and numeracy. Please make sure not to keep the children off unless absolutely necessary as sitting an exam by themselves can change the result dramatically.
Here are a selection of sites we have used to review the learning.

Hiya Dean. Of course I remember you. You're right we never did get chance to finish that book - oops! You could always read it again and find out what did happen at the end. Lovely to hear from you and I hope everything is going well for you.
