Monday 14th July

The end of the year is fast approaching! Here are just some reminders of what is going on in that rush to the final week.

Reports

You should all have received your reports on Friday, and now know how your child performed through the year as well as who their next teacher will be in September. Can we ask that you send in the acknowledgement slip along with a comment about their report as soon as you can. Thank you.

This week we hope to swap classes for an afternoon and the Year Two will be joining us. Each one will receive a leaflet and also be shown around by the Year three children.

On Thursday morning at 9.00am there is a key board concert for the parents of Year Three children. We are all thrilled at how much they have learnt in the ten week course.

Our thoughts and prayers should also go out to those children in Year 6 who will leave us at the end of this week to move onto being very grown-up Year 7's as they start St. Greg's in September.

On Monday we're all let loose for the day - watch out Gulliver's World - here we come...! Please check the letter sent out last week for what the children need for the day. Obvious things include a packed lunch and at least a couple of drinks, as we will be out for the whole day. It is better if the children have a backpack for this, as it means they can be 'hands-free' on the rides.

The children will need a waterproof coat - hopefully this will remain in their bags though!

If our prayers are answered and we have glorious sunshine, then a sunhat and sun cream are essential.

The children will be allowed a couple of pounds to buy an ice cream etc. Please ensure that this in a zipped purse.

As always, please ensure your child's name is on everything - we are taking the whole school and there are many children with the same bags

The children will be back at school for 3 o'clock and it would be easier if you could collect them from their classrooms as normal. It is very hard to keep track of where children go when there are so many getting off the coaches.

On Friday it is a sad day for everyone - our Leaver's day. The most important part of today, will be our Leaver's Celebration Mass, taking place at 9.00am. You are most welcome to join us in the school hall, although please note that space is at a premium for this Mass. It is a very special occasion and a very fitting end to the school year.

All that is left is to say a thank you to parents for supporting us through the year.

And finally:WELL DONE CHILDREN!

You have all been FANTASTIC! Have a brilliant summer and we look forward to seeing you all safe and sound again in September.Take care and keep happy!
